Part 2: Add Keywords to These Parts of your Blog Posts (Always!!)

There are certain locations that bloggers should place keywords. The trick is to make sure the keywords flow. It is important that reader doesn’t think they are out of content.

  • Title
  • Headings & Subheadings
  • Introductory Sentence
  • Concluding Paragraph
  • Title Tags
  • Meta Descriptions
  1. Add your Primary SEO Term to each part of your new blog posts

Part 3: Use Tags & Categories

Tags and Categories are used to organise your content to make it easier for blog readers to find…and this helps Google find and rank it too.

It is recommended to have only 3-5 categories on your blog. There is no limit on Tags, you can add as many as makes sense.

A good way to think about it is to relate it to food. Categories would be Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. As a blogger, you would create content for one of these categories.

Tags would be “Eggs”, “Vegetables” and “Slow Cooker”. You can literally have thousands of tags if it makes sense.

  1. Create 3-5 Categories and Add them to your Blog
  2. Start adding 3-5 Tags to each of your Blog Posts as you write them

Part 4: Link to Reputable Sites

Link to reputable sites within your blog post because google will check that you are linking to good content. It is always good to reference others and if done well some of these writers will link back to your site.

  1. Link to at least one Reputable Site per Blog Post

Part 5: Gain Social Links

It has emerged that the more your blog post is shared on social media, those links coming from facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. When you think about it logically this makes sense because the social proof your content has, the more google will rank it.

The key to this is to make sure that your blog has easy to share social buttons, has a tool like Click to Tweet and give people the action to take.
People like to look good on social media, having an intelligent quote with click to tweet is the best way to get these social media blog post proof.

  1. Install the Click to Tweet Plugin on your WordPress site
  2. Include at least one Click to Tweet per blog post
